Draft for review. This is an honest, plain-language description of how Gazo handles data during the early-access pilot. It is not legal advice — please have it reviewed before general availability.

Who we are

Gazo is a design reference manager for macOS, operated by Mano Vikram from India. In this policy, "we", "us", and "Gazo" refer to the same. You can reach us any time at hello@usegazo.com.

What we collect

  • Account details — the email address you sign up or are invited with, and an optional display name.
  • Your references — the screenshots and images you capture, along with their filenames, tags, and the client and folder names you organise them under. These images may contain your own or your clients' work.
  • Usage & technical data — basic, privacy-friendly analytics (which features are used, from where), and app diagnostics. We do not capture the contents of your reference images in analytics or diagnostics.

How we use it

  • To run the product: store, organise, search, and show you your references.
  • To generate AI tags (style, layout, colour, mood) for each capture.
  • To improve Gazo and understand which features matter.
  • To email you about your pilot access and important service updates.

AI processing

To auto-tag a capture, the image is sent to OpenAI (in the United States) for analysis. OpenAI returns tags and a short summary, which we store with your capture. This is the one point where your image content leaves our infrastructure, and it happens only to produce the tags you asked for.

Where your data is stored

  • Accounts, tags, and metadata — Supabase (Postgres), hosted in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region.
  • Original images — Google Cloud Storage, in a private bucket in the Mumbai (asia-south1) region, served only through short-lived signed links.
  • All data is encrypted in transit.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we use to run Gazo, each acting on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Google Cloud — private image storage and the API.
  • OpenAI — AI tagging (see above).
  • Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics for this website.
  • As we add product analytics and crash reporting (e.g. PostHog, Sentry), or payments (Dodo Payments) for future paid plans, they will appear here — and never receive your image content.

Retention and deletion

A reference you delete is soft-deleted and then permanently removed after a short recovery window (about seven days). You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@usegazo.com.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Email us and we will take care of it.

Security

Images live in a private bucket reachable only through expiring signed links, database access is row-level scoped to your workspace, and everything is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, but we take the trust of holding your (and your clients') work seriously.

Children

Gazo is intended for professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

As Gazo evolves during the pilot, we may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will let pilot users know by email.
